About the position

The Data Center Program Manager - Compliance at Microsoft is responsible for overseeing compliance and audit projects within the datacenter operations. This role acts as the primary contact for all compliance-related initiatives, ensuring that safety and operational standards are met across multiple datacenters. The position emphasizes the importance of a culture of safety, security, and compliance while fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The manager will also be involved in regular site inspections, corrective action plans, and maintaining compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for all Datacenter Metro level audit and compliance projects.
  • Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
  • Empower a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations.
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Perform regular site inspections for audit readiness and compliance.
  • Implement strategies to ensure compliance of the Datacenter Metro and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Complete quarterly Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance control tasks.
  • Liaise with procedural document owners to resolve gaps identified through assessments and audits.
  • Manage and maintain all environmental, emergency, and business continuity plans/documents.
  • Spend 25% of the time on the floor ensuring compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 3+ years program management and audit experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field AND 8+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures.
  • Applicable certifications: APICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Data Center audit experience.
