About the position

The Data Center Project Manager for AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for overseeing critical infrastructure improvement projects within operational data centers. This role involves managing construction activities, optimizing space, power, and cooling utilization, and ensuring project execution aligns with company strategy and goals. The Project Manager will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to tackle complex challenges in designing, building, and operating Amazon data facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project management and execution of critical infrastructure improvement projects in data centers.
• Coordinate and implement project plans ensuring alignment with company strategy and goals.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to address operational challenges and improve systems.
• Review and provide oversight on all project disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural.
• Identify areas for improvement based on data and feedback from team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• 3+ years experience in Construction or Project Management.
• 3+ years experience in Vendor Management.

Nice-to-haves

• BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar Technical focus.
• 3+ years experience in the technical field of power distribution and data center mechanical cooling systems.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with various stakeholders.
