About the position

Nesco Resource is seeking multiple Data Center Technicians and Engineers who are local to specific areas or open to traveling for data center relocation projects. This role offers the flexibility to earn extra cash while maintaining a full-time job or to gain experience while searching for a full-time position. The primary locations for these projects include Reno, NV, the San Jose/Bay area, and Central Washington. Technicians can expect to work onsite, with shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours, depending on project needs. Project Managers and leads will be present onsite to provide direction and outline process expectations. The role involves hands-on tasks such as racking and stacking, as well as the installation and de-installation of server farm and data center hardware. Technicians will also be responsible for cabling, reverse wire pulls, and staging of rails for future installations. This position requires a general expertise in data centers and server farms, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a data center technician. Break-fix skills or systems administration skills are preferred. A valid government ID and a high school diploma or equivalent are also required. Compensation for this role ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, depending on the technician's or engineer's experience and the location of the work.
