About the position

The Data Center Services Business Leader at Trane Technologies is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the growth and differentiation of the Data Center Services division. This position involves developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring a world-class customer experience, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the data center environment and a proven track record in leading services organizations to meet the needs of large-scale data customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Data Center Services.
  • Drive the transition from a commercial operating model to a mission-critical operating model.
  • Ensure service offerings are competitive and innovative, meeting customer expectations.
  • Full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Data Center Services organization.
  • Develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure profitability and growth.
  • Design and architect a suite of service offerings, including traditional service agreements and energy services solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to integrate service offerings into the broader business model.
  • Establish and manage a Customer Resolution Center for effective case management and escalations.
  • Develop and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely customer response.
  • Foster a mission-critical services culture that emphasizes speed and expertise.
  • Determine the optimal structure for integrating the Data Center Services model into existing frameworks.
  • Leverage industry expertise to build and lead a high-performing Data Center Services team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the data center and mission-critical environment.
  • Proven track record of building and leading a services organization for large-scale data customers.
  • Strong financial acumen with full P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of customer experience and SLA management.
  • Ability to foster a mission-critical services culture.
  • Extensive industry expertise and ability to recruit and develop top talent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
