About the position

Apple is seeking a dynamic Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to join the Hardware Technology team, focusing on the Data Center SoC Concept Engineering. This role is pivotal in driving multi-functional power management initiatives from the architecture concept phase through to product realization for Apple's cutting-edge products. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering background, complemented by strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and connect with various teams to achieve results. The EPM will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on a predictable and dynamic schedule, showcasing a consistent record of leading large, multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality, complex feature solutions on time. In this position, you will oversee the day-to-day activities during the SoC definition and architecture phase of development. Your responsibilities will include initiating and setting up project infrastructures, managing program disclosures during the definition phase, and coordinating SoC planning meetings and reviews. You will facilitate alignment between SoC architects, implementation, and validation teams, identifying criteria, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans associated with all program definition decisions. Additionally, you will partner with SoC, System, and Software organizations to develop program schedules and guide cohesive support plans to ensure successful silicon execution. Your role will also involve identifying critical paths and dependent activities, tracking efforts across teams, and facilitating decision-making processes with relevant partners, including key individual contributors and executive leadership, driving all open items to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and set up project infrastructures for SoC development.
  • Manage program disclosure during the definition phase of the program.
  • Coordinate and drive SoC planning meetings and definition reviews.
  • Facilitate alignment between SoC architects, implementation, and validation teams.
  • Support key architecture multi-functional review and adoption activities.
  • Develop program schedules in partnership with SoC/System/SW organizations.
  • Guide, rally, and track cohesive support plans for successful silicon execution.
  • Identify critical paths and dependent activities across teams.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes with relevant partners and drive open items to closure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in engineering program management, particularly in power management initiatives.
  • Strong technical knowledge in system power management and SoC development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large multi-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and connect with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time.
