About the position

As a Program Manager for Data Center Supplier Management Services at Oracle, you will play a pivotal role in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's Data Center Supplier Management Business Services and Sourcing team. In this role, you will manage supplier performance across all colocation data centers globally, ensuring that suppliers meet the operational needs and expectations of the data center. You will be responsible for monitoring supplier performance, addressing any issues, and managing relationships with current suppliers to ensure compliance with contracted terms. Your responsibilities will also include contract management, developing and implementing supplier management strategies, and collaborating with various departments to align supplier services with the organization's overall goals. You will drive efficiencies through automation, ensure adherence to service level agreements, and conduct executive business reviews to provide top-notch experiences for internal customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business and data center operations, with a proven track record of problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments. You will need to be comfortable working with remote teams and possess the ability to compartmentalize tasks effectively. Responsibilities

  • Managing supplier performance for all colocation data centers accountable for globally
  • Managing relationships with current suppliers to ensure that they meet the data center's needs and expectations
  • Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Contract management
  • Developing and implementing supplier management strategies and policies
  • Collaborating with other departments and teams within the data center to ensure the supplier services align with the organization's overall goals and objectives
  • Driving efficiencies with automation to enable business scale
  • Ensuring service level agreements with colocation suppliers are adhered to
  • Conducting executive business reviews and managing internal customer support to provide top-notch experiences
  • Effective reporting and executive write-ups
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency
  • Collaborating with other departments such as engineering, field operations, procurement, and finance to ensure the company's overall goals are met
  • Ensuring timely resolution of customer and supplier issues through ticket management deliverables
  • Monitoring performance metrics and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Developing and implementing operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Communicating standard daily business needs, newsletters, status updates, and executive write-ups
  • Problem solving and providing input and support to manager to unblock on business and project critical needs
  • Being a team player and able to work independently
  • Embracing and shifting direction with high levels of change often

Requirements

  • 8+ years of program management/fast-paced operational support experience, preferably in a datacenter/IT enterprise organization
  • Degree in business, operations, supply chain, engineering or a related work experience
  • Solid operational support and project management skills with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically across various levels within the organization
  • Ability to apply independent and sound business judgment to solve complex issues
  • Innovative, self-directed, and able to influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working with internal and external organizations and individuals
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through cross-functional, virtual teams
