About the position

As a Data Center Team Lead at CBRE, you will oversee the technical maintenance services within a large Data Center operation, ensuring the effective functioning of critical systems. This role involves coordinating daily activities, managing staff, and implementing preventive maintenance programs while maintaining safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
• Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Set and track staff and department deadlines.
• Mentor and coach team members as needed.
• Implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
• Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians.
• Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues.
• Guide ongoing communication with tenants, clients, and vendors.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.

Requirements

• Training in a Technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Journeyman/Electrician or HVAC license preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, and performance appraisal.
• Ability to convey performance expectations and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve complex problems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
