About the position

The Data Center Tech II position at Scientific Games is a critical role responsible for the day-to-day operation of real-time transaction-based wagering systems. This position is 100% onsite in Middletown, PA, and requires the candidate to work a night shift, specifically from Saturday 7pm to 8am and Sunday through Tuesday from 7pm to 6am, totaling 42 hours per week. The successful candidate will operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines, ensuring that all operational aspects are maintained with strong attention to detail. This role also involves troubleshooting and problem resolution, supporting the field staff, and maintaining accounting controls for tapes produced. The Data Center Tech II will prioritize nightly processes to ensure the performance of time-critical schedules, run all programs for production systems, and provide batch processing and tape backups. The position requires the ability to problem-solve and gather data to troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues. Additionally, the candidate must be able to log and report problems to management, prioritize tasks as assigned, and maintain an aggressive call volume while working with field staff, retailer base, and lottery to resolve various situations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making adaptability and a proactive approach essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in LINUX, Microsoft products, and Windows based systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies.
