About the position

The Data Center Tech position at Circet USA involves providing high-quality service in a data center environment, focusing on customer care, relationship building, and efficient work practices. The role includes the installation of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with customer standards, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Installation of telecommunications equipment and associated infrastructure per customer standards.
• Act as a customer contact and interface with customers and local supervisors to clarify project status.
• Work well within a team and demonstrate some leadership ability.
• Plan and layout installation activities to meet dates and budgeted hours, overseeing other personnel when required.
• Install power, fiber, and switchboard cable, and telecommunications equipment in Data Center and other Telecom facilities.
• Familiarity with iron work/bays/equipment rack installation, blueprint/schematic reading.
• Physically place, remove, or modify non-working equipment including cable trays, data equipment cabinets, servers, switches, routers, and more.
• Route cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data in various technical spaces.
• Identify, label, and terminate cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data.
• Conduct tests and document performance characteristics of hardware and software.
• Resolve equipment/technical issues and perform quality validation on in-process and completed work.
• Interact with all members of the organization including Installation, Engineering, and Project Management.
• Perform other duties as requested by Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or college degree preferred.
• One year of experience in a related field.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs and applications.
• Proficient in the use of IOS and/or Android applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot cabling issues and resolve problems.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve problems.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good computer soft skills.
