About the position

The Data Center Tech is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's computer systems 24/7. This role involves running daily jobs, performing backup and recovery functions, and providing technical support to users. The Data Center Tech will also handle help desk calls, enter support tickets, and work with IT support to restore critical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure computer systems are operating under normal conditions 24/7.
  • Run daily jobs and perform backup and recovery functions.
  • Answer help desk calls and enter support tickets to record user issues.
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, servers, Windows, Microsoft Office, printers, phones, and networks.
  • Work with users and IT support to restore critical operations to normal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting desktop and laptop computers, Windows servers, and MS Office, or an associate's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to work any/all shifts as required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with all tasks.
  • Basic network knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology support.

  • Basic network knowledge.
  • Preferred information technology systems experience.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology support.
  • Hardware installation experience.
  • Software installation experience.
  • Ability to work on call nights and weekends.
