About the position

The Data Center Technician/Customer Engineer role is focused on providing technical support and services for computer systems and LAN/WAN applications in critical environments. This position requires self-motivated individuals who can troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues efficiently while maintaining documentation and inventory. The role demands availability for on-call support 24/7, ensuring responsiveness to customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots hardware/server issues with focus on responsiveness; provides issue resolution
  • Maintains inventory and documentation of activity
  • Creates own service tickets, updates, and closes
  • Communicates before and after repair work windows via ticket and email to client
  • Break/Fix

Requirements

  • Previous experience working on HPE, DELL, Oracle (SUN), or Lenovo Servers
  • Strong problem solving and self-management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • 5+ years experience servicing hardware as specified or utilized in customer environment
  • Familiarity with ticket-tracking software (ServiceNow preferred)
