About the position

The Data Center Technician at Apple is responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of IT infrastructure in a 24/7 operational environment. This role requires strong collaboration, communication skills, and attention to detail to ensure high availability and performance of the data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and support network connectivity, installation and removal of hardware assets, and securely handle storage media.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and perform diagnostics.
• Support team operations by working collaboratively and contributing to operational and service level deadlines.
• Maintain a positive and effective team environment, sharing information and best practices with other technicians.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders through verbal and written channels.
• Drive innovation by seeking ways to improve operational processes and help the team meet performance and service level objectives.
• Support the planning of hardware installation and removal of assets and participate in data center infrastructure projects.
• Maintain awareness of conditions to eliminate risks that may impact Apple customers and business services.
• Apply firmware updates to resolve hardware/software issues.
• Use appropriate PPE in various environments with varying temperatures.

Requirements
