About the position

Volt is seeking entry-level Data Center Technicians to assist in the decommissioning of computer servers and networking devices in a state-of-the-art data center for a major tech company. This role involves hands-on work with computer hardware and requires both teamwork and independent effort.

Responsibilities

• Assist with decommissioning computer servers and networking devices.
• Remove hard drives from servers.
• Disconnect all cables from equipment.
• Remove servers from racks.
• Organize equipment on pallets for shipping.

Requirements

• Familiarity with computer hardware, specifically hard drives and ethernet cables.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Willingness to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
