The Data Center Technician position is an entry-level role focused on assisting with the decommissioning of computer servers and networking devices in a state-of-the-art data center for a major tech company. The role involves physical tasks such as removing hard drives, disconnecting cables, and organizing equipment for shipping, making it essential for candidates to be physically capable and familiar with computer hardware.

Responsibilities

• Assist with decommissioning computer servers and networking devices.
• Remove hard drives from servers.
• Disconnect all cables from equipment.
• Remove servers from racks.
• Organize equipment on pallets for shipping.

Requirements

• Familiarity with computer hardware, specifically hard drives and ethernet cables.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Willingness to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
