About the position

The Data Center Technician position is responsible for the deployment of New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering projects, focusing on IP (Silicon, Hardware, Software) and debugging client server hardware infrastructure. The role also involves assisting with inventory management and requires strong communication and technical skills to engage with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering expertise to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographies.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities.
  • Deploy and maintain NPI server products while partnering with other engineers and contractors.
  • Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High attention to detail and good follow through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in areas of data center system deployment, software deployment, and validation.
  • Experience with asset management.
  • Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking.
  • Ability to function independently with little direct supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs and flexibility to get under a raised floor as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • 0 - 2 years experience in the high-tech industry.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skilled in MS Office tool suites, Confluence, MS Sharepoint.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay of $28 - $32.
  • Contract position with expected hours of 40 per week.
