About the position

The Data Center Technician I is responsible for maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of controlled environments within data centers. This role involves ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously cleaned and maintained according to strict guidelines. The technician plays a crucial role in supporting the sensitive environments that impact various industries, including Life Sciences, Technology, IT, Defense, and Aerospace.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines.
  • Monitor cleaning procedures to ensure all tasks are completed promptly and correctly.
  • Participate in continuous training related to data center operations, technical skills, safety, and performance improvement.
  • Micro-clean all surfaces within the general and critical environment, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
  • Follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail, including documentation.
  • Identify deviations in cleaning and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Review changes to SOP/SOW documentation and provide re-training as necessary.
  • Assist in cross-training other personnel within Controlled Contamination Services.
  • Perform other duties as defined by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
