About the position

The Data Center Technician I is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational standards of controlled environments within data centers. This entry-level position focuses on ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously cleaned and maintained according to strict guidelines. The role involves following standard operating procedures, participating in training, and identifying any deviations in cleaning processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines.
• Monitor cleaning procedures to ensure all tasks are completed promptly and correctly.
• Participate in continuous training related to data center operations, technical skills, and safety.
• Micro-clean all surfaces within the general and critical environment, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
• Follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail, including documentation.
• Identify deviations in cleaning and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Review changes to SOP/SOW documentation and provide re-training as necessary.
• Assist in cross-training other personnel within Controlled Contamination Services.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
