About the position

Our high profile client and global eCommerce giant is seeking a Hardware Technician for a 6-11 month contract assignment in Florence, KY. As a Hardware Technician on this team, you will test and repair components to support the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and possess strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, communication, and problem-solving skills to align well with this organization. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and repairing components using a variety of testing rigs and jigs, and recording test results in a Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will receive parts, maintain inventory, and check out parts as needed. The position involves lifting materials and products, as you will be loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations. You will also diagnose hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs, and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. The Hardware Technician will have the opportunity to execute small projects independently and work with the manager in planning and executing larger local projects. On-the-job training is available, and there is potential for conversion to a permanent position with this company. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate system administration skills.

  • Ability to follow well-defined workflows or SOPs.
