About the position

The Data Center Technician II role at TEKsystems involves supporting IT operations at NVIDIA's datacenter. This position focuses on troubleshooting server issues, performing hardware installations, and assisting network administrators with various tasks. The role is essential for maintaining the functionality of the datacenter and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate problems encountered by the servers.
• Order replacement parts and install them in servers, shipping back defective parts to vendors.
• Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed.
• Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
• Assist network admins with server-related issues, including replacing broken cables and re-routing cables.
• Temporarily rack and stack servers or switches in cabinets and cable them for remote access by network admins.
• Assist with Level 1 responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

• Expert-level experience in troubleshooting and hardware installation in a data center environment.
• Strong knowledge of break/fix processes and cable management.
• Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with liquid-cooled environments.
• References demonstrating long-term employment history.
