About the position

The Data Center Technician III is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting large GPU deployments within an enterprise data center environment. This role requires hands-on experience in data center operations, including the installation, diagnostics, and decommissioning of equipment. Technicians will work under the guidance of Datacenter Technician Leads and must be flexible to work at both Goodyear and Downtown PHX sites, including non-standard hours such as nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
• Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
• Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
• Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports
• Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission
• Run/Label/Stage Power & Networking Cables
• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, and standard procedures
• Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
• 2+ years of dedicated data center experience required
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
• Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
