About the position

The Data Center Technician L3 role at TEKsystems involves troubleshooting and managing large GPU deployments within an enterprise data center environment. The technician will be responsible for monitoring systems, responding to errors, and assisting in the setup and decommissioning of equipment, all while following established procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
• Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
• Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
• Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
• Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• 2+ years of dedicated data center experience
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays
