About the position

As a Data Center Technician Manager - Night Shift, you will lead a team of technicians, providing guidance on performing hardware deployment, diagnostics on equipment, and hardware decommissioning. You will support technician performance, prioritizing technician tasks while monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA). Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technicians in hardware deployment, diagnostics, and decommissioning of equipment.
  • Monitor technician performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Provide training and guidance to technicians on standard procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Manage service delivery and ensure all technicians are trained on installation and deployment procedures.
  • Investigate root causes of issues impacting SLA and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Promote a positive team environment and hold team members accountable for performance and morale.
  • Collect and review service metrics to support service intelligence analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • 1+ year of experience directing, supervising, or managing others.
  • Ability to meet customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.
  • Applicable certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), and Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP).
  • 2+ years of experience leading diverse technical or IT workforce.
