About the position

The Data Center Technician position is a permanent role within a global, industry-leading enterprise IT, Software, Cloud, and Solutions firm. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to take on the challenges of maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing the performance of data center networks. The technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including network diagnostics, system upgrades, and security configurations. The role requires a Top Secret/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance and Security+ certification, making it essential for candidates to have a strong background in security and network management. In this role, the technician will engage in day-to-day operations that involve ensuring network system availability and implementing capacity planning strategies. The technician will also provide service solutions, conduct regular network performance assessments, and patch systems to maintain optimal performance. Handling network-related issues efficiently is crucial, as is the ability to work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure that the network infrastructure meets organizational needs and industry standards. Documentation of all processes and changes is a key responsibility, ensuring that systems remain secure, efficient, and up-to-date. Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and enhance the performance of data center networks.
  • Perform network diagnostics and system upgrades.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Technology industry.
  • 2+ years of data center technician/support experience.
  • Security+ certification is required.
  • Must possess a Top Secret/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
  • Proven experience with Service Solutions, Security+, Network Monitoring, Network Diagnostics, Network Maintenance, System Upgrades, Security Configurations, Patching, Network Performance, Network System Availability, Capacity Planning, and CCNA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and data center operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
