About The Position
The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. This role involves removing network cables as part of a datacenter decommission, running, labeling, and staging power and networking cables. The technician will follow procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads. Additionally, the technician will prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, and standard procedures. Physical audits of datacenter assets are also part of the responsibilities.
