As a Mid-level Data Center Technician, you will play a crucial role in upgrading networking devices within a data center environment. This position is part of a 1-month extendable project that may lead to a long-term role, depending on performance and project needs. Your primary responsibilities will include staging, cabling, decommissioning old devices, installing new ones, validating links, replacing cables, and performing cleanup and reporting tasks. The project requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all networking devices are upgraded efficiently and effectively. You will be involved in the removal and installation of network chassis, deployment of new equipment, and cabling tasks that include fiber, copper, power, and optical connections. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting network connectivity issues, managing the removal of network cables during decommissioning, and utilizing a ticketing system for tracking tasks. Candidates must possess at least 2 years of experience in an enterprise data center environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of network operations and data center operations. This role is not a break/fix position; instead, it focuses on specific network upgrade projects, making deployment, upgrade, and decommissioning experience highly relevant.
