About the position

The Data Center Technician role at Wipro Limited involves performing hardware and software installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of computer systems and peripheral equipment. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of data center activities and providing technical support to users, while adhering to client policies and maintaining data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Performs computer hardware and software installations, maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Provides Level 1/2 technical support while configuring PCs for users.
  • Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support as needed.
  • Data Center, rack and stack experience required.
  • Processes timely and accurate information to ensure compliance with vendor warranty requirements.
  • Adheres to client policies and procedures while maintaining the integrity of the customer's data.
  • Coordinates across multiple departments/vendors to provide support.
  • Interacts with the customer when responding to technical questions or requests for information.
  • Maintains regular attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must have a College degree in a related field (STEM).
  • Good to have experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Basic knowledge in desktop troubleshooting is a plus.
