About The Position

The Data Center Technician at CoreWeave is responsible for ensuring the overall availability and reliability of data center operations. This role involves conducting hardware and network diagnostics, performing physical repairs, and participating in an on-call rotation. The technician will also provide technical support, develop documentation, and maintain inventory, contributing to the efficient functioning of the data center.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of data center experience
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly
• Proficiency in Linux Operating System
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and/or work in elevated locations
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call rotation
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with computer networking
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
• Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
• An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levels
• Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
• Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
• Train internal teams
• Develop documentation
• Provide technical support to data center teams
• Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
• Maintain inventory
• Assemble and install equipment
• Perform maintenance of test and tools equipment
• Occasional travel to other data centers as needed
