About the position

The Data Center Technician at CoreWeave is responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of data center operations. This role involves conducting hardware and network diagnostics, performing repairs, and providing technical support to data center teams. The technician will also participate in training, documentation development, and inventory maintenance, while being part of an on-call rotation to support after-hours needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levels
• Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
• Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
• Train internal teams
• Develop documentation
• Provide technical support to data center teams
• Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
• Maintain inventory
• Assemble and install equipment
• Perform maintenance of test and tools equipment
• Occasional travel to other data centers as needed

Requirements

• Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
• Linux Operating System experience
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and/or work in elevated locations
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call rotation
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues
• Hands-on or educational experience in Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair
• Minimum of five years Data Center experience
• Computer Networking experience
• Experience with Python, Bash or other scripting languages
• Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
• An Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
