About the position

The Data Center Technician role at OBLS International LLC involves designing and configuring data communication systems, as well as maintaining and improving communication systems to enhance efficiency. This full-time, long-term position requires hands-on work with various types of cabling and data center infrastructure materials.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of communication systems
• Adjust voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptions
• Work with various cable types including twisted pair, coax, and fiber optic cables
• Install data center infrastructure materials such as racks, cabinets, and cable management systems
• Rack and stack equipment including network switches, routers, and servers
• Install structured wiring including network drops and specialty cables
• Pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling of cables

Requirements

• Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or related fields
• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
