About the position

The Data Center Technician will work closely with the cabling and logistics teams to support various projects within the data center. This role involves hands-on technical tasks, troubleshooting, and logistical support to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Stage/run/label cables and understand networking, connectivity troubleshooting, and computer hardware
• Perform fiber link cleaning
• Scope, test, QC, and troubleshoot power and cable connections
• Perform troubleshooting and swap out failed components
• Provide logistics/warehouse support including sending and receiving
• Handle storage media/Data Bearing Device (DBD) reconciliation and physical audits
• Conduct basic server repair following documented procedures
• Update and audit MS Asset records
• Assist with Middle of Rack (MOR) buildout
• Perform power cycles
• Process RMA and coordinate with the logistics team
• Install software and firmware updates
• Receive logical and physical hardware into the system

Requirements

• Experience with troubleshooting desktops, networks, servers, and IT equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively
