About the position

The Data Center Technician role at a leading quantitative trading firm involves performing essential electrical and IT equipment tasks to ensure the smooth operation of data center facilities. This position requires hands-on experience with power distribution, HVAC systems, and server management, and is based on-site in Little Rock, AR, with occasional travel to Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work including tasks related to switchboards and switchgear, diesel generators, power distribution, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
• Manage and service HVAC systems, including cooling tower, chiller, CRAC, CRAH, CD, dry coolers, and liquid cooling
• Handle IT equipment tasks such as racking and stacking servers, cabling, and troubleshooting hardware issues
• Occasionally coordinate with vendors

Requirements

• Experience with electrical work and power distribution systems
• Proficiency in managing HVAC systems
• Hands-on experience with IT equipment, including servers and cabling
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with industrial HVAC and/or as a licensed electrician
• Military experience supporting critical environments
• Experience working with power and cooling infrastructure

Benefits

• Base salary of $130,000 - $160,000
• Annual bonus
