About the position

The Data Center Technician role involves hands-on technical support and maintenance of enterprise-level servers, storage, and networking equipment within a data center environment. The technician will be responsible for break-fix repairs, collaborating with various teams to manage service outages, and ensuring proper inventory control and documentation. This position requires a positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform break-fix repairs on enterprise-level servers, blades, storage, and networking equipment.
• Collaborate with various teams to schedule service outages and repairs.
• Manage inventory control and associated paperwork in the data center environment.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex issues with a positive attitude and mechanical aptitude.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in data center operations with Smart Hands experience.
• Knowledge of routers and switches, specifically for break-fix on Dell equipment.
• Background in hardware server and/or storage repairs.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Data center experience is a plus.
• Specific server and storage training will be provided.

Benefits

• Long-term contract position with a pay rate of $25/hr on W2.
