About the position

As a Data Center Technician at Publicis Groupe Holdings B.V, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and assisting with the daily operations of the data center. This position involves working closely with team members on new builds, deploying new environments, and ensuring the data center is organized and efficient. You will be responsible for hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintaining the infrastructure, while also documenting processes and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assist in the day-to-day operations of the data center.
  • Assist team members with new builds in remote sites.
  • Deploy new environments in collaboration with different departments.
  • Receive, deploy, cable, and document new equipment and remote hands as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized data center.
  • Install and decommission enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair data center hardware and networking infrastructure.
  • Rack and stack data center equipment, including servers and networking devices.
  • Monitor DC environments using monitoring tools and respond to tickets in a multi-team environment.
  • Document activities and create/modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage the decommission life cycle of data center hardware.
  • Oversee inventory processes, order replacement parts, and return failed parts as required.
  • Execute small projects independently and assist in planning larger local projects.

Requirements

  • Two years of data center experience.
  • Knowledge of Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell DRAC.
  • Experience with server/storage/network hardware.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting servers, networking devices, and IT equipment.
  • Inventory management experience, including ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

  • Experience taking on-call shifts and responding to critical events.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on business needs and urgency.
  • Strong interest in learning new data center concepts.
