About the position

The Data Center Technician position involves entry-level roles focused on the installation and maintenance of data center infrastructure. Technicians will be responsible for tasks such as cable dressing, pulling, and the installation of various components like cabinets and cable trays. The role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn and can follow directions well, with opportunities for training available for those without prior cabling experience.

Responsibilities

• Data center build and installation of cabinets, cable trays, and ladder racks.
• Cable dressing and pulling for data center operations.
• Installation of fiber runners, containment, and trunks.
• Working physically in a data center environment, including climbing ladders and assembling server cabinets.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and climbing ladders.
• No prior cabling experience required, but eagerness to enter the trade is essential.
• Preferred experience with cabling (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, punch downs) is a plus.
• Experience in a data center or construction site is advantageous.
