About the position

The Data Center Technician at CoreWeave is responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of data center operations. This role involves performing hardware and network diagnostics, conducting repairs, and providing technical support to data center teams. The technician will also participate in an on-call rotation and may need to travel to other data centers as required. The position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center operations to ensure availability and reliability of service levels
• Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
• Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
• Train internal teams
• Develop documentation
• Provide technical support to data center teams
• Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
• Maintain inventory
• Assemble and install equipment
• Perform maintenance of test and tools equipment
• Occasional travel to other data centers as needed

Requirements

• 5 years of data center experience
• Experience with computer hardware (troubleshooting, assembling)
• Linux operating system experience
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and/or work in elevated locations
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call rotation
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with computer networking
• Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
• Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
• An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with machine learning
• Familiarity with Spring and Shell scripting
