About the position

The Data Center Technician role at TEKsystems involves assisting in the construction of cable infrastructure for a large data center in Mesa, Arizona. Technicians will work under the guidance of higher-level techs and team leads, focusing on IT cabling tasks including pulling and terminating cables, installing cable trays, and assisting with electronic security installations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to enter the telecommunications field with opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with running, terminating, and installing IT cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Coaxial, and Fiber Optics)
• Install grounding for server racks, equipment, and cable as required.
• Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, and on low voltage devices.
• Terminate low-voltage devices and IT hardware (Cameras, servers, switches, etc.)
• Follow blueprints precisely to ensure the work is being carried out correctly.
• Fully complete all paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
• Adhere to and participate in all company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
