About the position

The Data Center Technician role at World Wide Technology involves supporting a client in an ongoing Data Center refresh project. This position is crucial for maintaining and optimizing the performance of data center infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, and providing excellent customer service. The technician will work primarily during the 3rd shift and will be part of a team dedicated to deploying and managing server hardware, storage, and networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain server hardware, storage, and networking equipment in the data center.
• Perform routine hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
• Monitor data center performance and respond to alerts promptly.
• Identify and troubleshoot hardware, network, and system issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data center assets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data center operations and infrastructure management.
