About the position

The Data Center Technician role involves monitoring and maintaining data center operations, particularly focusing on troubleshooting and deploying GPU systems within an enterprise environment. Technicians will work at multiple locations in Goodyear and downtown Phoenix, AZ, and must be flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends. This position is critical in supporting the growing demand for GPU deployments as the company expands its data center capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
  • Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
  • Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
  • Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports
  • Remove network cables as part of a data center decommission
  • Run/Label/Stage Power & Networking Cables
  • Follow procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads
  • Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, and standard procedures
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Data Center Technician experience (Break/Fix, Deployment, troubleshooting)
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
  • Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time

Nice-to-haves

  • GPU Deployment Experience (Huge nice to have, not required)
  • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training
