About the position

The Data Center Technician role is focused on providing support for data center network deployment and server-related tasks. Technicians will engage in various activities including troubleshooting cables and devices, verifying network link health, and assisting with server installations and replacements. The position requires strong communication skills and teamwork, as technicians will collaborate with onsite contacts and network engineers to resolve issues during installations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for data center network deployment and server-focused work.
• Perform cable and device troubleshooting.
• Verify link health on network spans during installations.
• Assist with AI deployment for new data center builds.
• Conduct server replacements and installations.
• Rack and stack new devices, including de-installation and re-installation of equipment and components.
• Handle hardware break/fix tasks and provide networking support.
• Communicate through MS Teams with onsite contacts and network engineers to troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant technician experience, ideally in a data center.
• Experience with cable and device troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with servers and light networking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to wear PPE while onsite, including steel toe/composite boots, cut-proof gloves, eyewear, and ear wear.
