About the position

The Data Center Technician at World Wide Technology (WWT) is responsible for supporting ongoing data center operations, particularly in a refresh project. This role involves managing infrastructure, monitoring performance, ensuring security compliance, and maintaining documentation. The technician will work in a collaborative environment to ensure optimal performance of data center assets.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain server hardware, storage, and networking equipment in the data center.
• Perform routine hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
• Monitor data center performance and respond to alerts promptly.
• Identify and troubleshoot hardware, network, and system issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data center assets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data center operations and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and networking protocols.
