About the position

The Data Center Technician role at a leading quantitative trading firm involves managing and maintaining critical infrastructure within the data center. This position is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems, HVAC, and IT equipment, contributing to the overall operational success of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work including tasks related to switchboards and switchgear, diesel generators, power distribution, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
• Manage and service HVAC systems, including cooling tower, chiller, CRAC, CRAH, CD, dry coolers, and liquid cooling
• Handle IT equipment tasks such as racking and stacking servers, cabling, and troubleshooting hardware issues
• Occasionally coordinate with vendors

Requirements

• Experience in electrical engineering and power distribution
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their management
• Proficiency in handling IT equipment and troubleshooting hardware issues
• Ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks effectively

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with industrial HVAC and/or as a licensed electrician
• Military experience supporting critical environments
• Experience working with power and cooling infrastructure

Benefits

• Base salary of $130,000 - $160,000
• Annual bonus
