About the position

The Data Center Technician role involves providing support for a Fortune 500 financial client in the NJ/NYC area. The technician will be responsible for managing installations, moves, adds, and changes within the data center environment, ensuring efficient operations and maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide reporting and support to team members in managing installs, moves, adds, and changes in the data center.
• Racking and stacking of network equipment to ensure proper setup and organization.
• Provisioning of equipment within the IT space to facilitate operations.
• Utilize the Patch Manager toolkit to patch and connect hardware according to schedules and schematics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of enterprise-level experience as a Data Center Technician.
• Strong understanding of power loading and power phase balancing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with network equipment and data center operations.
