About the position

The Data Center Technician role at Insight Global involves supporting the deployment of physical infrastructure within a data center environment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain foundational experience in IT, particularly in logistics, warehousing, and IT support. The technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and cabling, as well as managing data-bearing devices.

Responsibilities

• Supporting deployment of on-site datacenter physical infrastructure
• Installing, replacing and troubleshooting cables and hardware
• Handling data bearing devices (e.g., hard drives, solid state drives)
• Working within a ticket-based environment
• Performing assigned logistics/warehouse support tasks and escalating issues during high-volume work activity
• Performing data entry to document inbound and outbound packages
• Ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Performing cycle audits and data corrections to ensure all inventory controls are met

Requirements

• Background in logistics, warehousing, IT support, cabling, and/or heavy machinery
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Team-first mentality
