About the position

The Data Center OSP Technician role involves physical and technical tasks related to the installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom systems within a data center environment. This position offers a long-term opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in cabling and data center operations, with training provided for those without prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling cable, pulling innerduct, dressing cables, labeling, and fiber cleaning to industry and customer standards.
  • Carrying and loading materials to be used on the job.
  • Performing fiber and telecom installations, including Fiber, Cat5, and Cat6.
  • Willingness to work both outside and inside during summer and winter months.
  • Washing and cleaning vehicles and equipment.
  • Engaging in physical work, including climbing ladders and assembling server cabinets.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of prior IT-related experience, with previous Data Center/Cabling experience being a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cabling experience (coax, fiber, Cat5, Cat6, punch downs) is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained in cabling.
