The technician will be responsible for various tasks including the physical setup of servers and networking equipment, which involves rack and stack operations. This includes working with both copper and fiber cabling, and managing servers from major manufacturers such as HP, Dell, Sun/Oracle, and IBM. Additionally, the technician will handle storage solutions from Net-Apps and Dell/EMC, and will be expected to work with Cisco switches to maintain network connectivity. The position also requires familiarity with service management ticketing systems or similar platforms, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting purposes. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring that the data center operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of BCforward's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack and stack operations for servers and networking equipment.
  • Manage copper and fiber cabling installations and maintenance.
  • Ensure the operational integrity of servers from HP, Dell, Sun/Oracle, and IBM.
  • Handle storage solutions from Net-Apps and Dell/EMC.
  • Maintain network connectivity using Cisco switches.

  • Document processes and maintain records using Microsoft Office.

Requirements
