About the position

The Data Center Technician will work closely with cabling and logistics teams to execute various projects related to the setup and maintenance of data center equipment. This role involves preparing, staging, and performing startups and shutdowns of hardware, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and deployment standards, and applying troubleshooting expertise to resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of data center equipment according to specific instructions.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks to verify proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
• Apply diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Decommission hardware for complex changes and systems following standard procedures.
• Verify security compliance for decommissioned hardware.
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to data center operations management and Technician Leads.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.

Benefits

• Target pay for this position is $23-$25/HR.
