About the position

We are seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of our data center. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT and electrical systems, with hands-on experience in data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, Diagnose & Triage equipment state and connection
• Execute and/or assist with system starts and reboots
• Liaison to customer's IT Department
• Monitor Data Center equipment and facilities
• Operation of Data Center equipment and facilities
• Maintenance of wiring closets & server rooms throughout the campus
• Network port patching
• Verify physical network port and wireless access
• Coordinate work with hardware vendors
• Organize and maintain spare equipment spaces and on-site tape storage
• Shipping and receiving
• Tape Management
• Equipment Racking/Un-racking
• Maintain valid equipment and parts inventory
• Maintain accurate records of shift activity

Requirements

• Background in IT and electrical systems
• Hands-on experience in data center environments
