About the position

As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the electrical and cooling infrastructure within our data center. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and cooling technologies, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our data center operations. You will collaborate closely with the Site Reliability Engineering team and play a vital role in scalability planning for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems to support data center operations, including Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
• Plan and manage the installation and maintenance of cooling systems, such as Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC).
• Monitor and analyze electrical and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power distribution and cooling systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for the installation and repair of equipment.
• Maintain detailed documentation of electrical and cooling infrastructure and prepare performance reports.
• Assist in planning and executing data center expansions and upgrades.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of working experience with infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the SRE department for over 3 years.

• Experience with Servers, Networking Equipment, Storage Devices, Operating Systems, Databases, Data Centers, Security, and Backup/DR.
