About the position

Flex Tech, LLC is seeking skilled and dedicated Data Center Technicians to join our team in Dallas, Texas. These positions are crucial for maintaining and optimizing data center operations, ensuring high availability and performance of the IT infrastructure. The role includes opportunities for traveling technicians, with some positions requiring up to 80% travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware, including servers, storage systems, and network devices
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on data center equipment
• Monitor and respond to alerts, troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Manage cabling infrastructure and implement cable management best practices
• Assist with data center capacity planning and equipment upgrades
• Maintain accurate documentation of data center assets and configurations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards

Requirements

• Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in data center operations or related IT role
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems
• Familiarity with server hardware, storage systems, and networking equipment
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and routing protocols
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
