About the position
As a CBRE Union Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining building system operations and performance, focusing on various areas such as plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems for the facility.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficient operation of all systems.
- Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program for building machinery and systems.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Review inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
- Universal CFC certification is preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role including lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and advanced math skills.
